MuseLAB Creates an Immersive Lunar Terrain, Awash in Terracotta Tones, in Gujarat

MuseLAB

The building’s angular, jewel-box-style façade eventually gives way to a calm paradise of terracotta, the walls flowing softly in the shape of a river. The architects from the Mumbai-based design group MuseLAB created the elegant jewellery store The Luire, which is tucked away within this understated facade design in Ahmedabad. The retail store’s centrepiece is a curving island with a mysterious lunar picture that looks like a Martian landscape, enticing shoppers in amongst the glittering jewellery. Luire draws us into a world of wonder with just a little of its allure showing.

An immersive experience beyond the usual transactional trade is provided by Luire. The goal for the architects at MuseLAB was to design a space that would make each visit seem like an adventure, complete with chances for deep conversation and sensory elements constructed across.

The Mumbai-based studio for design, MuseLAB, offers a wide range of projects in its portfolio, including institutional, commercial and residential buildings. The company specializes in both architectural and interior design and uses experimental prototypes along with sustainable techniques. One such unconventional retail location is The Luire, which was created as a flagship store for Fortune Farms and acts as a pathfinder in the Indian market. The business serves as a leading source for lab-grown diamonds, particularly considering the state’s well-known diamond market.

The retail building as a whole radiates ideas of modern design influenced by nature. Gloomy charcoal and rusty terracotta together create a dramatic narrative for the design. Rich colours create an image that is captivating and dramatic, illuminating the diamonds and other gemstones that line the shelves. The boutique’s modern architecture offers a distinctive shopping experience, with nature acting as the main source of design inspiration.
